Communication Ability:
My communication ability has grown since I have started highschool. Although I am not very shy when meeting new people, I was very uncomfortable with presenting and public speaking. In my Resume, you will see that I am very active with not only sports but also with my youth ministry at St. Joseph's Parish in Middletown. Through my youth group, I was able to become more comfortable with public speaking when I had to speak to large groups of people not only from my pairsh but others as well, about the youth group and projects associated with it.
Collaboration Ability:
I have also learned a lot about collaborating. An example of this is in my Multimedia Project, where I had to work with three others in order to make this project a success. Also in my Resume, you can see that I am very active in sports and in my youth group. I have been playing soccer as the Keeper since the sixth grade and I have learned how to collaborate with my team to get our goals accomplished. In my youth group, I had to learn how to collaborate with the other members so that we can get our projects done in a timely manner and in a way that will highly benefit those whom we are helping. Critical Thinking Ability:
As shown in my Critical Viewing Literacy, I was able to locate and describe the rhetorical devices and appeals in the Old Spice Commerical. Also, in my Reading List, I have read quite a lot of different types of novels. As I am reading, not only do am I taken away into the world of the novel, I am also looking for clues and analyzing what is really happening. By doing so, this adds to my understanding of the novel and it helps connect with the it more. As shown in my High School Course Work, I have taken many honors classes, which require you to be able to make critical analysis on the subject in order for me to fully understand the material. Creativity Ability:
As shown in my High School Course Work, you can see that I have taken two art classes and one culinary class so far in my highschool career. During art, I was able to learn the techniques of shading, sculpting, lines, and color among other things. I have had some of my art work displayed not only around school but also in 2010, I had a piece of mine displayed in the Appoquinimink Art Show.
